The ‘BB’

I was reading some blog and saw ‘posted it on BB’ written somewhere. Hey! The person was talking about Infosys BB! That brought back memories of the fun, mazaa in the Infy BBs.

For the uninitiated, Infosys has Bulletin Boards set-up where all employees can post/read messages; in other words, discuss almost any topic in the earth, and beyond. Most firms have ‘em these days. But the differentiating factor is the amount of traffic, and the kind of traffic these boards get. If (by mistake) anyone posts a serious innocent thread in the BB, within few minutes replies will start pouring in from all DCs in India (and abroad too), most of them quick-witted, pun-ny, and fun-to-read. This is followed by some sensible, longer on-topic replies, only to be taken over by the fun posts again. :)

The amount of traffic owes itself to the large number of people that Infy hires, and not to the misconception that people have too much time on their hands. ;)
